Shooting start

for MY EXTRAORDINARY SUMMER WITH TESS

Terschelling, an island of the Netherlands, is shooting location for MY EXTRAORDINARY SUMMER WITH TESS.

In his feature debut, EMMY-winner Steven Wouterlood („Anything Goes“) tells the extraordinary holiday-friendship between Sam, a dreamy boy, and Tess, a rather confident and feisty girl. 

This family entertaining, turbulent summer story is based on the successful childrens book by Anna Woltz, published in Germany by Carlsen Verlag. 

Tess and Sam are played by newcomers Josephine Arendsen and Sonny Coops van Utteren. Tess' father is played by Johannes Kienast (AXEL THE HERO, a.o. nominated for Max Ophüls Prize for the best Newcomer). In further roles: Julian Ras (HOTEL DE GROTEL), Tjebbo Gerritsma (BLACK BOOK), Hans Dagelet (EN BRIEF VOOR DE KONING) and Lizzy van Vleuten (IN THE HEART).

MY EXTRAORDINARY SUMMER WITH TESS is a coproduction with BIND and VPRO. The project is supported by  Nederlands Filmfonds, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, CoBO, Netherlands Film Production Incentive, Creative Europe MEDIA. This is the first project financed and produced through the German-Netherlands Co-Development Fund.
