The civil war in Kosovo changed the lives of all its inhabitants. During that war, Maca lost her child. The world, she knew, ceased to exist. The homeland was lost. Eleven years later, in Belgrade, Maca works as a folk singer in a pub owned by Bole, the godfather of her late son. Bole has done well and is a successful businessman. Maca doesn’t love anyone or anything. Her ex-husband Jovan, a war veteran, was a novice in a monastery, but has now decided to abandon this life…
