ostlicht filmproduktion GmbH is a production company founded in 2004.

Away from the major production centers, we utilize the creative freedom of the culturally and artistically rich city of Weimar to create films that both entertain and touch audiences. ostlicht develops and produces feature films, documentaries, and series without limiting itself to specific formats.

A deep conviction in the artistic and emotional potential of our projects fuels our passion and commitment. At the core of this is the close collaborative development and cooperation with the creators. We accompany the entire process of film production – from idea to distribution – with passion and dedication. We see ourselves as a boutique production company that nevertheless remains open to inspirations from diverse sources.

The producers of ostlicht filmproduktion are Marcel Lenz and Claritta Kratochwil. The company is a member of the European Producers Club as well as the German Producers Alliance and the German Children's Film Association.
